Memphis Grizzlies trade No. 3: A

I don’t know what NBA 2K21’s obsession is with packaging Victor Oladipo with David Nwaba, but they’ve done it again. This time, it’s an entirely new deal. Here’s how the game wants this trade to look:

To me, this is the perfect deal for the Memphis Grizzlies. Maybe not so much for the Houston Rockets, but with all due respect, the Rockets won’t be winning an NBA title for the team in Memphis.

Losing Brandon Clarke would be tough, but the return would help this team be immediately competitive. We could also see Kyle Anderson and Justise Winslow step into the power forward position while Jaren Jackson Jr. is still injured. Gorgui Dieng is completely out of the rotation with an expiring contract, so he’ll be soon forgotten about and onto free agency.

Meanwhile, Oladipo would bolster an already-strong backcourt. David Nwaba would likely struggle to see playing time, but he’d be an extremely serviceable player to create another trade with or even fill in when Grizzlies players are injured.

The Grizzlies need to move Gorgui Dieng before the deadline. dark. Next

This is a near-perfect trade, but you never know what the Rockets might want in exchange in real life. In all likelihood, some picks would be involved.
