The Memphis Grizzlies are coming off of a brutal loss against the Phoenix Suns. They can’t hang their heads for too long though, as Wednesday night’s matchup sees them come up against the Miami Heat, a team that reached the NBA Finals last season.

The Heat are led by Jimmy Butler and currently have a 22-18 record on the year, good enough to slate them into the 4th place position in the Eastern Conference.

On the more positive side of things, the Grizzlies have had good luck playing against Eastern conference teams, going 9-6 in 15 games against the opposing conference.

It won’t be a walk in the park, but should be a breath of fresh air for a team that recently took a loss against a red-hot Phoenix Suns team. The Grizzlies will look to get another win to help their playoff odds as we get into post All-Star play.

Will the Memphis Grizzlies be able to secure a home win against the Miami Heat? Our staff weighs in.

Jack Williams: The Grizzlies are coming off of two straight losses that will leave a bad taste in this team’s mouth. They could be entering a dry spell, but I think this team has enough character to bounce back from those games. The Heat have a lot of talent, but are a beatable team. I think Memphis will take advantage of this and bounce back with a really solid home win. Ja Morant will come back from a quiet game with an explosive performance, guiding the Grizz to a win.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 109, Miami Heat 101

Brandon Martinez: The Grizzlies now have to face one of the top teams in the East after facing one of the top teams in the West. The Heat will also most likely have Bam Adebayo and Avery Bradley back. This could be a very close match IF Ja Morant and Jonas Valanciunas can have good games, which I think they will. Along with how the bench has been playing this season, I think we pull out a close win.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 121, Miami Heat 117

Taylor Goebel: The Grizzlies have dropped 3 games in a row now and their playoff chances are dwindling more and more with each loss. Unfortunately they also host the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat, on Wednesday. Lead by Jimmy Butler and possibly having Bam Adebayo back from injury, the Heat are a strong contender to win the East and are looking for a Finals repeat from last year. With Jaren Jackson Jr. still not active this team hasn’t lived up to their full potential.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 105, Miami Heat 110
