The trade deadline is approaching and the Memphis Grizzlies are a team that might be looking to make a move. In just a week, we’ll know whether or not this team is dealing somebody out, but for now, we can only speculate.

Despite the fact that the Grizz aren’t expected to make any blockbuster moves, they have plenty of valuable players on the roster.

The only player that should be directly thinking about a trade on this team is Gorgui Dieng, a center who has been sitting on the bench for most of the season. That being said, he’s nowhere near the most valuable player on this team, despite being a solid NBA center.

This is a Grizzlies team that will be looking to play some playoff runs in the coming year, so if the right deal presents itself, anybody is at risk of being traded.

To be clear, this list will have players who are most valuable to the Memphis Grizzlies success in the present and in the future. Everybody on this list should be staying in Grind City for the foreseeable future.

Here are the 5 most valuable Memphis Grizzlies players on the roster.

211. Scouting Report. player. 5. Pick Analysis. C. 28 years old. Jonas Valanciuanas

Jonas Valanciunas is a surprising pick as the most established player on the Memphis Grizzlies

You probably weren’t expected to see Jonas Valanciunas listed as one of the most valuable players. That’s not to say that he isn’t, but as a 28-year old center, that’s not where your head immediately goes.

Either way, his value is undeniable. Even as a veteran player, he would be a hot commodity for most NBA franchises. With the way he’s been playing, he’s an even more attractive piece to any team’s puzzle.

That being said, he’s fifth on this list for a reason. He’s 28 years old and in the eyes of the league, he has hit a ceiling.

It’s clear that he can play like a top-5 center, but the Lithuanian beast has been very streaky throughout his career. Even though his value should be higher, the Grizzlies should plan to keep him and won’t be worried about what other teams think.
