The Memphis Grizzlies will march into Utah on Friday night and take on the NBA’s best team in the Jazz. On paper, this looks like it could get ugly, but the Grizzlies have shown that they have a chance in any game.

Both teams will enter the game on a three-game winning streak, so the it’ll be a clash between red-hot teams in Vivint arena.

The Grizzlies will look to continue a strong scoring stretch, while the Jazz will look to stay defensively stout. The team from Utah didn’t allow over 95 points in either of their last two games and they’ll be looking to make the Grizzlies their next victim.

The Grizzlies, on the other hand, will look to make their presence known in the Western Conference playoff race. Without Jaren Jackson Jr., they’ve been competitive against any team that you throw at them.

Can the Memphis Grizzlies upset the Utah Jazz? Our contributors weigh in.

Jack Williams (Site Expert): The Memphis Grizzlies simply do not have the talent to match up with the Utah Jazz right now. That said, this team seems to play their best basketball against top-tier NBA teams. I think the Grizzlies will put up a fight, but lose a close one in Salt Lake City. Everybody will play well offensively, but the Grizz won’t be able to keep up with Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and former Grizzly Mike Conley.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 118, Utah Jazz 123

Caleb Anglin: Facing a team that is 3rd in the league in points per game, the Grizzlies have a very tough matchup on their hands. The Jazz have only lost 11 games this season and sit at #1 in the Western Conference Standings. Both teams come into the matchup with a three-game winning streak, but I think this is where the Grizzlies streak ends. Morant and Valančiūnas will do their part, but I think the duo of Mitchell and Gobert, along with the depth this Utah team has is too much for Memphis.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 103, Utah Jazz 125

Taylor Goebel: The Grizzlies have a tough task to tackle Friday night as they take on the top team in the league so far, the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are coming into this game on a 17-game home winning streak and without forward Jaren Jackson Jr. in the lineup still, it would all but seem like the Jazz are going to keep their streak alive and extend it to 18 games. It would take quite the overall team performance for the Grizzlies to get the win, and while they are on a 3-game winning streak, I don’t think they are going to have what it takes Friday night.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 102, Utah Jazz 126

Thomas Welch: The Memphis Grizzlies face a lofty challenge Friday night as they head to SLC to take on the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are the best team in the league right now, and they are on a major hot streak at home. With JJJ still out, despite how well they’ve been playing recently, the Grizz probably won’t be able to take down this white-hot Jazz team.

Final: Memphis Grizzlies 106, Utah Jazz 122
