The Memphis Grizzlies are amidst a brutal road stretch that saw them play back-to-back games in the home of the best team in the NBA, the Utah Jazz. The Grizzlies will get a shot at redemption after two ugly losses in a home game against the same Jazz team later this week.
In the more immediate future though, they’ll face off against arguably the worst team in the league in the Houston Rockets. They’ll follow this with their home matchup against the Utah Jazz, followed by another home matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They’ll finish their rollercoaster stretch with a brutal away game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
If the Grizzlies can exit this stretch with a winning record, it’ll be considered a positive for them in the Western Conference playoff race. We’ve seen this team take care of business before and hopefully we’ll see them do it again.
Why this stretch of Memphis Grizzlies basketball is so important
With just under a month remaining without Jaren Jackson Jr. in the lineup, every win counts for the youngest team in the NBA. Taylor Jenkins will look to keep this team around .500 and in the discussion for the NBA Playoffs.
In all likelihood, we’ll see this team landing somewhere in the play-in discussion though. That said, if this team can elevate themselves into a seven or eight-seed before the playoffs, they’ll have much better odds of getting in. They’ll look to get started on the right foot.
Here are game-by-game predictions for the Memphis Grizzlies during the week of March 29th.
