The Memphis Grizzlies are very familiar with the Utah Jazz. One might even say that they’re a little too familiar, losing back-to-back games against the NBA’s best team last week.

Luckily for the Grizz, they’ll have a chance to bounce back from their two ugly away losses in a home matchup against the very same Jazz team.

After the two previous losses, there won’t be an excess of optimism surrounding this Grizzlies team. That said, you should not be writing off Memphis quite yet. This is a team that was a couple of inches away from taking the Jazz to overtime less than a week ago.

The Memphis Grizzlies will have to play their best basketball of the year to get a win

If there’s one thing that we have learned from the previous pair of matchups against the Utah Jazz, it’s the fact that the Memphis Grizzlies will need to play a near-perfect game if they want to steal a win.

In the last two matchups, they played solid games but fell behind early. This caused them to play catch-up for the entirety of those games. They almost completed a comeback in game one but would be stopped short by the rim.

In Wednesday night’s game, this Grizzlies team will look to run the Jazz out of their house. The likelihood of a blowout is low, but Memphis has a chance to get a single win on the season against this menacing team.
