The Memphis Grizzlies are looking ahead to a home matchup against the Utah Jazz. After two straight losses against the Jazz, this could be a huge win for an outmatched Grizzlies team.

The Grizzlies played Utah closely in these teams’ first meeting, so there’s a good chance that Taylor Jenkins‘ team can overcome the mighty Jazz. With hope, the stars will align and the Grizzlies can steal a win.

But the Jazz aren’t going to make it easy. In all likelihood, we’ll see a hard-fought match from start to finish.

The Memphis Grizzlies matchup has been overshadowed by chaos

Despite the fact that these two teams have a tantalizing matchup at hand, that’s not what you’re going to read about in the news. Rather, there have been some unusual events leading up to the game.

Firstly, news surfaced on Tuesday that Taylor Jenkins’ 24-year old stepson was charged with a felony. Weird and unusual, yes.

It began when he called the police and reported an armed robbery outside of a restaurant. When questioned by police, he was unable to put together every detail and eventually admitted to making up the story.

The reasoning behind this is unknown, but he told police that he was seeking to purchase cocaine, but became scared and abandoned his vehicle. This isn’t necessarily a bad look for Taylor Jenkins himself, but definitely an unnecessary distraction ahead of an important game.

The Utah Jazz had an odd occurrence before their matchup as well

Somehow, this wasn’t the only unusual event that has occurred on the day before the aforementioned matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz.

Shortly after this occurred, news surfaced that the Utah Jazz’s plane had to perform an emergency landing after a plane hit a flock of birds. The plane was able to land safely, but this has to be something that spooks some of the players on the Jazz.

Thankfully, everybody involved in these situations is safe. These odd circumstances could lead to an unusual game, so keep an eye out for extra nerves on Wednesday night.
