Memphis Grizzlies basketball in 2021 has been defined by strong work in the NBA Draft. Most of the Grizzlies’ key contributors in 2021 were either drafted by Memphis or acquired shortly after the NBA Draft.

Here are a few examples of players that fall under that umbrella:

  • Ja Morant
  • Jaren Jackson Jr.
  • Dillon Brooks
  • Brandon Clarke
  • Desmond Bane
  • Xavier Tillman

As you can see, a lot of the players that the Grizzlies have drafted in recent years have already become strong NBA players. We cannot yet see if they will pan out in the long run, but each of those guys is off to a strong start.

The Memphis Grizzlies still have room on the roster to build

That’s all that this is though — a strong start. Despite the fact that any of the aforementioned players could start in an NBA game, the Grizzlies have to keep going if they want to reach the promised land.

The talent pool isn’t complete, they’ve got to keep building. This starts with the 2021 NBA Draft.

During March Madness, we have already watched some elite prospects take the court, but it’s not too late to get a glimpse at some of the NBA’s future talent. There is no better place to showcase talent than the NCAA Tournament Final Four and that’s just what we’ll be looking at today.

Today, we’ll be helping you locate players that could be playing on Beale Street in the future. Here is one player from each Final Four team that the Grizzlies should consider drafting.
