The Memphis Grizzlies took care of business in every aspect of the expression on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was a relatively close game until the fourth quarter, but the Grizzlies went on a game-ending run and finished with a double-digit lead against a bad team.

Coming into the game, there was a nagging worry that the Timberwolves could steal a win against the Grizzlies, but those concerns were put to bed after a complete team performance from Memphis. Despite their inability to separate until late in the game, the Grizzlies were the better team all night long.

There wasn’t any individually high scorer. Rather, this team felt contributions from the top of the starting lineup to the back of the bench. The Grizzlies exceeded their bench-scoring average by a wide margin on Friday night.

The Memphis Grizzlies stayed ahead of the pack with a win against the Timberwolves

This win put them back at .500 for the time being, a position that they’re extremely comfortable in. They’ve hovered around this win-loss percentage all season, now finding themselves cemented in 9th place in the Western Conference.

Thanks to one of the worst losses in the NBA this season by the Golden State Warriors, the Grizzlies have also been given a nice cushion between themselves and 10th place. That said, they’re only 2.5 games away from being completely out of the conversation of the NBA Playoffs, so this team cannot take their foot off of the gas.

They’ll look to continue to create more productivity from players across the roster, but Friday night was a great start.
