The Memphis Grizzlies began their week with a strong win against the Philadelphia 76ers in Philly. They’ll continue a tough stretch with an away game against the Miami Heat, a team that was in the NBA Finals last season.

The Heat find themselves in the 4th spot of the Eastern Conference despite holding a very similar record to the Grizzlies. These two teams will face off for just the second time this season.

In the only previous matchup, neither of the two teams cracked 90 points. In a low-scoring affair, the Grizzlies came out on top, dominating the Miami Heat. If they can recreate their performance from this game, the Grizz will be in good shape on Tuesday night.

Can the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Heat again? Our contributors weigh in.

Jack Williams (Site Expert): The Memphis Grizzlies are a very comparable team to the Miami Heat from a win-loss perspective. In the last matchup, the Grizz won the contest, helping prove that the West is the superior conference. I think they’ll add to that argument with another win against an inferior Eastern Conference opponent. After a quiet couple of games from Ja Morant, he’ll bounce back with a big one in Miami to end the Heat’s four-game winning streak.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 106, Miami Heat 98

Caleb Anglin: Although Memphis won their last game against the Heat, they may not have enough this time. The Miami Heat have won the last four games and are hot right now. The Grizzlies have won two in a row, but they’re going against a team that can shoot the three. I know the Grizzlies are a better defensive team, as they are 1st in the league in steal per game, but that won’t be able to stop the three-ball. I think De’Anthony Melton dealing with a leg injury will also hurt this team even if he does end up playing. This resulting in a W for the Miami Heat.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 104, Miami Heat 115

Brandon Martinez: The Grizzlies are looking to extend their winning streak to three tonight against a hot Miami team. With Melton possibly out due to a leg injury, it just makes the task at hand that much more difficult. Despite the tough matchup, I think Ja Morant can take advantage of the Heat’s backcourt and fire up offensively. Along with Valanciunas’s consistency and hopefully containing Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, I think the Grizzlies pull out a close one.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 112, Miami Heat 108
