These Memphis Grizzlies played a strong game, keeping the team intact

It’s important to note that this page will have players who played strong games but weren’t necessarily the top performers. The next slide will have the players who won the Grizzlies the game, but these performances should not be forgotten.

Desmond Bane: As most shooters are, Desmond Bane has been extremely streaky this year. Against the Heat, he was hot. In just 22 minutes, Bane put up 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 steals, and a block. He was all over the court and for a short stretch of game time, the Heat could not stop him. He continues to exceed expectations as the last pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Player Grade: B+

John Konchar: Who would have thought you’d see a name like John Konchar show up in a game like this? Due to a massive amount of injuries to the Grizzlies, Konchar heard his name called for 21 minutes of game time against the Heat. He made good use of the opportunity, scoring 5 points while dishing out 6 assists, and pulling in 2 steals. He did everything physically possible, which is why he’ll earn the highest grade on this list.

Player Grade: A+

Xavier Tillman: There’s no other word that comes to mind when describing Xavier Tillman than “reliable.” He brings a sense of maturity to the court that you almost never see out of a second-round rookie. He didn’t stuff the stat sheet, but he did a strong job filling in while Valanciunas wasn’t on the floor, collecting 6 rebounds and scoring 11 points.

Player Grade: B+

These players had great games, but who are the guys that put the team on their backs on Tuesday night in a win against the Miami Heat?
