The Memphis Grizzlies lost in heartbreaking fashion against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. On Friday, they’ll get a chance to bounce back against a struggling Chicago Bulls team that they beat a few days ago.

This time, the Bulls will not have their star player in Zach Lavine due to COVID-19 protocols. He’ll miss at least a few games for a Chicago team that will desperately need their star player down the stretch.

That said, the Grizzlies will have an easier path to victory. Even with Zach Lavine, the Bulls are a significantly worse team than the Grizzlies. Memphis has had a tendency to struggle against teams that they should beat, so let’s hope that trend doesn’t continue on Friday night.

Despite a loss against the Mavericks, the Grizzlies played a strong game on Wednesday and should hold their heads high. In fact, there will be some momentum that they can ride into this game against the Bulls, hopefully securing a convincing victory.

They’ll use a chip on their shoulder to maintain motivation against a bad Bulls team.

Can the Memphis Grizzlies secure a win in Chicago? Our contributors weigh in.

Jack Williams (Site Expert): The Memphis Grizzlies are still playing excellent basketball, don’t let a fluke loss against the Dallas Mavericks confuse you. If anything, Wednesday night’s loss will inspire this team to come out against the Bulls and play their best basketball. The Grizzlies should dominate on Friday night, beating the Bulls by an effortless double-digit margin of victory. Expect a good game from Dillon Brooks, who has been relatively quiet recently.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 128, Chicago Bulls 106

Taylor Goebel:  The Bulls are 3-7 in their last 10 games, hoping to end a 4-game losing streak. If they want to make a push toward the NBA Playoffs this season, every game will count more and more as this season winds down to the end. The Grizzlies, on the other hand, are 6-4 in their last 10 and are the current 8th seed in the West. I think Ja and Jonas lead the Grizzlies to a win Friday night.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 118, Chicago Bulls 110
