The Memphis Grizzlies have the second-youngest roster in the NBA. As a result, they have a handful of players with a mountain of potential. From a former second-overall pick in Ja Morant to a more recent second-round pick in Xavier Tillman, there is no shortage of future talent on this squad.

From start to finish, almost every single player on the roster could become an NBA star. There will only be a couple that prevail in the end, but it’s worth looking into each player’s potential in this league.

That said, it seemed like a fun idea to create completely subjective and meaningless rankings of each player’s potential with the Memphis Grizzlies. Shall we begin?

Honorable Mention: Memphis Grizzlies G Tim Frazier

It hurts me to write about Tim Frazier in an article about future potential. In seven years in the league, Frazier has bounced from team to team. He has been good enough to stay in the league, but not good enough to become part of a team’s long-term rotation.

That said, he is on the Grizzlies to bring a veteran presence to an extremely young NBA team. His presence will be appreciated by the team, but we have to bring a certain level of honesty about him as an NBA player.

At 30 years old, he has hit his ceiling as a player, and that’s okay. Due to his age and current abilities, he ranks last on the Grizzlies in terms of potential.
