Memphis Grizzlies player potential rankings: No. 9-7

This is where we’ll get into players that have star potential. Each of these guys has shown a flash of brilliance and doesn’t have the distinct ceiling that the aforementioned players possess.

9. Grayson Allen: When Grayson Allen came to the Memphis Grizzlies, it seemed like the jury was out on him as an NBA player. He’s a solid shooter who will fit in as a role player in a 3-point heavy league. But if Grizzlies fans have learned one thing, it’s that Grayson Allen has the potential to be a star. He’s the second-best athlete on this team and a deadly shooter. If he can round out this game, there’s no limit to what he can do.

8. Xavier Tillman: If this was a list of the most surprising players in 2021, Xavier Tillman would be at the top. Expectations were low for the second-round pick, but he came in and played strong basketball for a team struggling with injuries. He has sneaky potential, and so far, his career has mirrored that of another former Michigan State Basketball player in Draymond Green.

7. Dillon Brooks: There are moments where Dillon Brooks feels like an NBA star. We saw it just over a week ago when he scored 22 points in a quarter. That said, he has yet to bring consistency to the court. At 25 years old, he still has a long way to go and his progression as a player will be extremely exciting to watch.
