The Memphis Grizzlies roster is full of young talent. Without Jaren Jackson Jr. around for the entirety of the season thus far, a handful of players have stepped up in his absence. But that’s just the thing. Nobody has played well on a consistent basis — the Grizzlies have had a rotating display of strong performances from top to bottom on this team.

As a result, this team will have to form a new identity upon JJJ’s imminent return in the next few games.

When JJJ returns, things will change drastically. Even though he often rides the bench for extended periods due to foul trouble, Jackson Jr. will be eating up a handful of minutes. That said, certain players will have to make a statement in the final month of the season.

The Memphis Grizzlies will have a handful of players who have a lot to prove

When Jackson Jr. returns, the team will be entirely different. They’ll go from a squad that has been relying on their offense to win games to a team that is thought of as a defensive powerhouse in the NBA.

That said, they do have the opportunity to keep the offense afloat. Beyond that, the Grizzlies scoring output should technically improve, though it’s unclear whether or not that will actually happen.

That said, this will be a great time for Memphis basketball, as everybody will be playing with an elevated level of motivation as the NBA Playoffs approach. Somebody will lose their starting spot, leading to a trio of players who will have a lot to prove.

Here are 3 Grizzlies with the most to prove down the stretch.
