The Memphis Grizzlies will take on a red-hot Los Angeles Clippers team in an attempt to bounce back from a bad blown lead in double-overtime against the Denver Nuggets.

This won’t be a simple task though.

The Clippers have been one of the best teams in the league all year long. More specifically, they’ve been red-hot lately, taking home wins in nine of their last ten matchups.

These two teams have played each other previously, with the Grizzlies taking home a single victory in these teams’ two matchups thus far. In the first game, Memphis blew out the Clippers. They’d receive an equal blowout in the next game, this time it wouldn’t be in their favor.

This could be a statement win for a Grizzlies team that is looking to get back on track.

Can the Memphis Grizzlies beat a strong LA Clippers team? Our contributors weigh in.

Jack Williams (Site Expert): The Grizzlies have no business winning this game. That said, I think they’ll at least make it a good one. This is a hard one to predict, as the outcome will largely depend on how well the Clippers’ stars perform. I think they’ll step up, sending the Grizzlies onto their next opponent with frowns on their faces. Morant will play well, but Memphis will ultimately take another close, heartbreaking loss in this one.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 120, Los Angeles Clippers 128

Taylor Goebel: Coming off a double-overtime nail-biter in which the Grizzlies lost by 2 points to the Denver Nuggets, they now have to deal with the LA Clippers. Lead by Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers have had a successful season thus far even with injuries to some key players on the team. Currently, they are the 3-seed in the West and are looking to rebound from their disappointing playoff run last year. The Grizzlies have been competing fiercely against top teams in the league in their past few games beating the Bucks and then barely losing to the Nuggets. To stay in playoff contention, Memphis just needs to stay within the top 10 teams in the West to at least secure a chance to play in the play-in tournament. I think the Clippers will be too much to handle though, unfortunately.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 116, Los Angeles Clippers 120
