Memphis Grizzlies: Contributor score predictions vs. Magic, game 2
It wasn’t pretty, but the Memphis Grizzlies secured a home win in their first game against the Orlando Magic. But they’re not done yet. They’ll take on the Magic in the second game of a back-to-back on Saturday night, looking to sweep the season series.
In game one, Memphis struggled to get going on the offensive end. Dillon Brooks was the top scorer with 20 points, while Ja Morant struggled from the field, going 3-12 and scoring just 8 points. He’ll look to bounce back on Saturday.
Two players to watch for in the second matchup will be Cole Anthony and Mo Bamba, both of whom had great performances against the Grizz in game one.
Barring a disastrous performance, the Grizzlies should take home another win.
Will the Memphis Grizzlies be able to get the job done? Our contributors weigh in.
Jack Williams (Site Expert): The Memphis Grizzlies should get this win. In fact, they played one of their worst games of the season on Friday and still secured a win. The Magic are bad, there’s no way around it. It seems unlikely that the Grizzlies will become just the second team with a record of over .500 that they beat this year. It’s hard to see Ja Morant having two rough games in a row against the Magic, so expect him to have a strong scoring night en route to a blowout.
Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 119, Orlando Magic 93
Taylor Goebel: Back at it again on Saturday night, the Magic and Grizzlies face off after Memphis won last night 92-75. This game should have a much similar result to last night’s game, where the Grizzlies should run away with it at some point throughout the game. Expect another big win.
Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 112, Orlando Magic 92
Thomas Welch: The Grizzlies and Magic will face off again tonight, following up last night’s 92-75 Memphis victory. The Grizz ran away with the W and will most likely do it again tonight. Same result, different arena. The only thing that may be different is the number of points scored, as last night’s bout was a rather low-scoring affair.
Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 110, Orlando Magic 93
Caleb Anglin: After a dub yesterday, the Grizzlies hope to catch another one against the Magic tonight. If Desmond starts again, we know it’s a guaranteed dub (Bias of course). This one will probably be another low-scoring outing. I see the Grizzlies taking this one.
Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 101, Orlando Magic 89
