The Memphis Grizzlies walked into Salt Lake City and took home a win against the Utah Jazz in their first NBA Playoff game since the 2016-17 season.

It was a complete, dominant performance from a Grizzlies team that had just come off of an extremely emotional victory against the Golden State Warriors a couple of days prior. They proved that they belonged in the NBA Playoffs in a series that many experts had predicted them to be swept.

But one win won’t mean anything if Taylor Jenkins’ team can’t continue to get it done.

On Wednesday night, the Grizzlies will return to Vivint Arena to try and steal a second game from the Utah Jazz. This time, the team that finished the regular season with the best record in the NBA will have their best player in Donovan Mitchell, making this one a much more interesting contest.

If the Grizzlies can secure another win and a 2-0 series lead, Memphis will have the Jazz eyeing down the barrel of elimination against an 8th-seeded team that gained entry to the NBA Playoffs via the play-in tournament.

Can the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Jazz again? Our contributors weigh in.

Jack Williams (Site Expert): Game 2 against the Utah Jazz will be very telling for this Memphis Grizzlies team. The squad is young, and as a result, has not responded well to success that they have seen within this season. The return of Donovan Mitchell will only further compliment things. That said, I think they’ll play with a chip on their shoulder, as just about everybody is already counting Memphis out again. Expect a discombobulated Jazz team, struggling with team chemistry issues, and a motivated Grizzlies team on Wednesday night. Grizzlies win another tight one.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 108, Utah Jazz 107

Taylor Goebel: After stunning the Utah Jazz at home and taking game one of the 7-game series, the Memphis Grizzlies look to build on that win Wednesday night. With Jazz star Donovan Mitchell set to return after missing game one, it will definitely be a tougher task for Dillon Brooks and co. to upset the top-seeded Jazz at home once again. Expect a different-looking Utah team and they will look to come out fast and furious to start the game out. If the Grizzlies can keep it close heading into the 4th then look for them to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Realistically though, Utah should squeak out a win at home.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 114, Utah Jazz 118
