Memphis Grizzlies Starting SF: Kyle Anderson/Dillon Brooks

Now we’re getting into the territory of more obvious picks for the starting lineup. This may come off as confusing, as I have two players listed here for the Grizzlies’ starting small forward spot. Allow me to elaborate.

I think Kyle Anderson will be the team’s starting small forward in the first game of the season. Eventually, Dillon Brooks will get the nod. To avoid spoilers, I can’t go into too much detail on my logic, but both of these guys are experienced on the wing and can do a strong job as a small forward.

Memphis Grizzlies Starting C: Steven Adams

I’m sure there are some fans out there who believe Xavier Tillman has a chance to start in the first game of next season, but realistically, it’s going to be Steven Adams.

Adams is technically a downgrade from Jonas Valanciunas. It hurts to say, but it’s the truth. That said, he is a better defender than the Grizzlies’ past Lithuanian big man and he’s a good system fit for this team.

Adams played with Russell Westbrook for a long time, so his transition to the pick-and-roll offense with Ja Morant should be relatively seamless.
