Memphis Grizzlies Player Rating Predictions: NBA 2K22
Jaren Jackson Jr.: I don’t want Jaren Jackson Jr. to get a downgrade and I definitely don’t think he deserves one. That said, I think the game will knock him down a bit, as he never got into a groove after returning from injury. His numbers looked like career-lows, even though those who watched the Grizz know that he takes a long time to get settled. Expect his rating to start low and rise throughout the 2021-22 season.
2K21 Rating: 83
Predicted 2K22 Rating: 82
Dillon Brooks: I’m actually having an extremely tough time getting a read on what NBA 2K is going to do about Dillon Brooks. Throughout the 2020-21 season, his rating dropped for some unknown reason. That said, he established himself as the alpha dog on this team and took huge strides offensively. If there is any logic in the world, he’ll be the second-highest-rated player on this team.
2K21 Rating: 76
Predicted 2K22 Rating: 83
Ja Morant: If Ja Morant stays at 85 overall, we riot. Seriously though, after his bounce-back shooting the ball and his NBA Playoff performance, where he set a new franchise-high in points per game, Morant deserves a significant upgrade. Even so, I think he’ll only get a marginal one, as this game tends to reflect season-long stat lines more than the eye test.
2K21 Rating: 85
Predicted 2K22 Rating: 86
