There are a few scenarios that could bring Ben Simmons to the Memphis Grizzlies, should they elect to throw their name into the Simmons Sweepstakes. The cost will be significant and some Grizzlies fans may not be willing to pay the price to bring a star-like Ben Simmons to Memphis.

As we’ve seen throughout the history of the Memphis Grizzlies, the city is just simply not a free agent destination– for a variety of reasons. Historically, the Grizzlies have had to build the team through either the NBA draft or the trade market to bring talent to Memphis.

Simmons is a player that can do just about everything but consistently knock down jump shots. But, you can imagine he would be an electrifying player when paired with Ja Morant– someone who has shown he can bring the best out of players.

Simmons, the 2017-18 NBA Rookie of the Year, averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game last season.
