The Memphis Grizzlies broke the curse of losing their opening-night game on Wednesday, taking down the Cavaliers in a 132-121 offensive showcase. In the contest, the Grizzlies scored their fifth-highest halftime total ever and the most points in a Memphis season opener in franchise history.

Despite a close finish, the Grizzlies dominated the game from start to finish, ending the game with more points, rebounds, steals, blocks, and a higher field goal percentage. In every sense of the word, the Grizzlies defended their home court.

Throughout the game, Memphis saw huge performances from every key contributor that you’d expect. Today, I’m going to talk about the best performers from the Grizzlies’ season-opening win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

A few Beale Street Bears fans guessed Memphis Grizzlies PG Ja Morant’s scoring total on the night

Before I get into the top performers, I owe a few shoutouts to Beale Street Bears followers. Prior to the game, I asked on Twitter how many points Ja Morant will score in this year’s season opener. Here’s the tweet.

While a long list of Twitter users attempted to fool me by writing Ja Morant’s total after the game, only a few users actually guessed correctly. Here are the Twitter users who predicted Ja Morant’s 37-point game.

  • @JosephIverson13

It’s also worth noting that @das647 guessed 36 points, which was not the correct answer. Congratulations to everybody who guessed the correct score which, again, does not include @das647, who was very wrong.

Anyway, here are the top three Grizzlies performers from Wednesday night’s win over Cleveland.
