In each team’s second game of the season, the Memphis Grizzlies went to Los Angeles and handed the Clippers their second loss of the year in two contests. On the other side of things, the Grizzlies moved up to 2-0 on the year after their win.

Since then, however, these two teams have had entirely different seasons, with the Grizz struggling as of late and the Clippers playing their best basketball recently. LA has won eight of their last nine games, while Memphis has gone 4-5 in that same stretch.

Even though Memphis won in pretty convincing fashion against the Clippers last time around, this game could tell a different story.

Can the Memphis Grizzlies win their second straight against the Los Angeles Clippers?

Jack Williams (Site Expert): The Clippers are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now and the Grizz are one of the coldest teams in the NBA. Memphis is coming off of a dominant win, but it came against the Houston Rockets, who are the worst team in the league. Grizz-Clipps has always been a good series and I don’t expect that to change. I see the scoring margin remaining consistent, only this time, I’d expect LA to win. I see big games out of Paul George for the Clippers and a strong shooting night out of Desmond Bane for the Grizz.

Noah Hancock: This game is personal for me as my brother is a Clippers fan. So naturally, I want the Grizz to win, and win big. I think that is going to happen tonight. I think it will come from a poor shooting night from Paul George and a great shooting night from the Grizzlies. Grizz get a big win tonight against a good western conference opponent.

Will Jones: The Grizz shocked the Clippers earlier this season and beat them at their place. That’s not something a team of their caliber easily forgets. The Clippers are going to be coming for blood. Defensively they are going to make the Grizzlies shoot and hope that the Houston game was an outlier. The Grizzlies got their mojo back against the Rockets and saw the ball go through the net. Boosted by the energy from the home crowd the Grizz get above .500 again.
