Memphis Grizzlies Number No. 3: 25

The first two numbers were pretty obvious — this one won’t be. Unless you follow the Grizzlies PR Twitter account, the odds are not in favor of you guessing this one correctly.

The number 25 refers to the number of seasons that have transpired in the NBA since a team has played in five straight games without trailing at any point. Maybe I phrased that poorly — here’s the well-articulated version via Grizz PR on Twitter.

This stat is the reason why I created this post and the ultimate testament to how dominant of basketball the Memphis Grizzlies have been playing for the past week or so.

The wildest part? They’ve been doing it without the presence of Ja Morant who is undeniably the best player on the team. On the season, Morant is averaging 24.1 points, 6.8 assists, and 5.6 rebounds. His PER of 24.53 ranks 11th in the NBA.

Next. 5 things we've learned in Ja Morant's absence. dark

The Grizzlies will get their first real test without Morant on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks in a game that could see the return of Luka Doncic. We’ll find out what they’re really made of.
