The Memphis Grizzlies throw everything at the Celtics to see what sticks

This deal would be centered around the blossoming Desmond Bane, who has been having a fantastic sophomore season.

Bane is the most desirable asset the team has right now, but the problem is his salary is relatively low compared to the value he brings to the team on the court.

A trade involving Bane would have to include some players whose salaries could come close to matching Brown’s nearly $30 million.

In this hypothetical deal, the Grizzlies would be losing 42.1 points per game worth of scoring and nearly 15 rebounds per game collectively.

But with the few consistent appearances from the Grizzlies’ reserves, it may be easier to swing a deal knowing that guys like Jarrett Culver, Killian Tillie, Santi Aldama, and Ziaire Williams are ready to step up when called upon.

However, this is a king’s ransom to acquire a player who has made exactly one all-star game appearance. This is the kind of deal you might reserve to make a run at Bradley Beal if he were to ever come available.
