Memphis Grizzlies Studs in Jan. 11 win over Golden State

Tyus Jones

Veteran back-up point guard Tyus Jones had perhaps the best game of the season. He scored 17 points, tied for second-most on the season. But it’s how he got to 17 points that was spectacular. He was 5 for 5 from beyond the arc against the Warriors.

Jones made more threes than Stephen Curry (2-9) and Klay Thompson (2-5) combined in the game. He also added 8 assists and 6 rebounds, giving him a crazy stat-stuffed line that fantasy basketball players have to be absolutely giddy over.

Ziaire Williams

The rookie out of Stanford has had a coming-out party since returning from an ankle injury that kept him out of in-game action for nearly a month.

Williams, making his third-career start for Memphis, made the most of the opportunity. In 30 minutes of action, Ziaire Williams scored 17 points on 6-12 shooting from the field, including 3-7 from three.

Williams was feeling it tonight, his 12 field goal attempts is a career-high. Here’s to his continued development, which we will see more of as Dillon Brooks is sidelined with an ankle injury for the next 3-5 weeks.
