Grizzlies could trade Culver and Anderson for sweet-shooting wing

Jarrett Culver got some quality minutes this month, namely when the Grizzlies went to Brookly and took down the Nets.

Culver was called upon to play 30 minutes and he delivered. The reserve player recorded 12 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals.

He’s in the unfortunate position of being buried on the depth chart behind Morant, Tyus Jones and the rest of the guards.

There’s going to be a suitor out there for Culver and a team that makes sense would be the Knicks.

The Grizzlies could trade Culver, Anderson and a 2nd round pick for Evan Fournier.

Fournier could provide an instant impact on offense. If he and Desmond Bane are on the court with Morant, you can just image defenses having to pick their poison.

If Morant drives, he can kick to Bane or Fournier on the wings for a triple. Fournier and Bane both could throw up a pump fake a blast by defenders.

Fournier is streaky, however, He literally had a zero-point game (Jan. 4) sandwiched between a 20-point night (Jan. 2) and a 41-point night (Jan. 6).

The French native would have a nice connection with fellow countryman and current Grizzlies player Killian Tillie, helping provide a smooth transition.

The 6’6″ Fournier is averaging 13.6 ppg on 41.6% shooting from the field (38.8% from beyond the arc).
