It took every bit of 48 minutes for the Memphis Grizzlies to put away the scrappy San Antonio Spurs in the final leg of their four-game road trip.

The Grizzlies were up by as many as 15 points in the game, but ended up winning by a final score of 118-110, fending off a ferocious comeback attempt by the Spurs late in the game.

Memphis scored 62 of it’s 118 points in the paint and took advantage of offensive rebounds, netting 29 second-chance points.

Memphis improves to 33-17 on the season, with a massive home game against Utah coming up Jan. 28. It’ll be a playoff-like atmosphere inside the confines of FedEx Forum for the game, so be sure to circle the game on your calendar.

Before we look ahead, let’s take a look at some of the key performers and performances from the big road win at San Antonio.

Tip of the hat to the San Antonio Spurs

San Antonio’s Dejounte Murray is a spectacular player. He recorded a triple-double against the Grizzlies and showed us just why he should be in consderation to make the NBA All-Star team as a reserve.

Murray finished the night with 16 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for San Antonio.

Not many NBA fans have been able to tune in to see the 25-year-old Washington product this season. San Antonio does not often get national TV games these days, which is a shame. These Spurs are a scrappy, selfless team.
