Memphis Grizzlies duds vs San Antonio Spurs

John Konchar

The normally very efficient John Konchar was pretty quite against the Spurs in his 23 minutes of action. He was 1-4 shooting and didn’t see the floor very much in the second half, logging around six minutes of play.

He was -9 tonight in +/-, the only Grizzlies player in the minus against the Spurs. He was, however able to chip-in 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 points and a block. Jitty has performed much better than this as of late, so perhaps this is just an off-night for him. We expect him to bounce back at home against Utah.

Killian Tillie

The French big man also struggled in his 16 minutes of action. Tillie was basically a non-factor in the game. He didn’t contribute much on the floor tonight. It makes you wonder why Head Coach Taylor Jenkins won’t roll the dice and play Xavier Tillman.

The inconsistent use of Tillman is baffling, frankly. He wouldn’t matched-up nicely against San Antonio’s Jakob Poeltl better than Tillie.
