Memphis Grizzlies studs vs San Antonio Spurs

Ja Morant

We can’t brag enough on superstar Ja Morant for his performances lately. Tonight was no exception. He lit-up the Spurs for 41 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds on 53.6 FG%.

His three-point shot is improving and he’s getting to the free throw line on a consistent basis—the referees are finally giving calls to Morant.

The third-year guard out of Murray State probably had a little extra chip on his shoulder tonight, after ESPN decided to flex out of televising this game on their flagship channel and instead aired Miami vs New York (which ended up being a boring blow-out).

Jaren Jackson, Jr.

This was one of Trip’s best games of the season, recording 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocks against the Spurs. He shout an outstanding 64.3% from the field, making all of his shots inside the paint, except for a lone made three pointer.

Jaren is playing great basketball right now and should be in talks for the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award. He’s now had six games this season in which he’s recorded five or more blocks in a game.

Perhaps most exciting in all of this is the fact that he’s fouling less and less each game. He went the whole first half without committing a personal foul against the Spurs— a great achievement for the still-developing big man.

Must Read. Jaren Jackson Jr. should get a 3PT Contest Invitation. light
