Santi Aldama surprises with the sixth-most votes among Grizzlies players

Perahps with a boost of the Spanish-speaking community, Santi Aldama nearly cracked the top-five most votes among all Grizzlies players.

The rookie out of Loyola (MD) and native of Las Palmas, Spain got a surprising 32,258 fan votes and five player votes, much to the surprise of this writer. He received more fan votes and more player votes than any other Grizzlies player except for Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson, Jr., Steven Adams, Desmond Bane and Kyle Anderson.

Dillon Brooks received a low amount of votes relative to his importance to the team, but he has spent a bulk of the season as being unavailable due to injury/injury recovery. Brooks has played in just  21 games this season, so it’s understandable to see him grab around 25k fan votes.
