Coming off a great win in San Antonio, the Memphis Grizzlies pick up their second straight win with a 119-109 victory over a shorthanded Utah Jazz team. This was a close game throughout but the Grizzlies had control for nearly the entirety of this game.

Memphis had astounding contributions from their team including Ja Morant’s first triple-double of the season. The team as a whole played great throughout and continued to assert their dominance on their western conference foes.

Before looking at the Memphis Grizzlies, here’s a moment of recognition for the resilient Utah Jazz.

Tip of the hat to the Utah Jazz

Utah came into this game without their two All-Stars, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Those are two very impactful pieces yet for them to be fighting till the very end is quite impressive.

Danuel House Jr. who was recently signed to a second ten-day contract arguably had the best game from any player on the Jazz. He finished with a team-high 21 points in only 16 minutes of action. His play tonight might’ve been enough to secure him a deal for the rest of the season.

The last time these two teams competed was in Utah where Jaren Jackson Jr. made the game-winning three-pointer. Although this is a rematch of last year’s first round of the playoffs, both teams are different than they were before, and yes the Jazz aren’t fully healthy but it seems that the Grizzlies are the better team now.

That’s enough praise for the opponent, let’s look at some studs and duds from the win against the Utah Jazz.
