Memphis Grizzlies studs vs Utah Jazz

Brandon Clarke

Besides Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke was the best Grizzlies player on the offensive side of the floor. Clarke tallied a season-high for points with 22 and was making big play after big play.

During Utah’s late attempt at a run, Clarke had a huge volleyball tip in prevent the Jazz from gaining momentum. Along with his filling up the scoring column, he did so in efficient fashion on 75 percent shooting from the field.

He brought such great energy off the bench and was the deciding factor to why Memphis came away with the victory.

Ja Morant

He can be a stud for every game but this one is an exception. Ja Morant picked up his first triple-double of the season and did so in historic fashion. His 30 points marks the most points scored in a triple-double performance in Grizzlies history, passing Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph who had 28 point triple-doubles in the past.

Morant continues to show the poise of a 10-year veteran in only his third season. He was every finishing with 30 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds while putting the team on his back in any given moment.

This is the first game he’s played after being announced as an All-Star starter and he very well lived up to that accomplishment. If his performance against the Jazz confirmed anything, it was that he has many more All-Star appearances to come in the future.
