Memphis Grizzlies Duds in win vs Orlando Magic

Desmond Bane

Still somewhat fresh off his 34 point performance against the Philadelphia 76ers, Desmond Bane cooled down significantly against the Magic. He wasn’t able to convert on open opportunities and was surprisingly inefficient.

The sophomore stud finished with just seven points on 3-12 shooting from the field. Luckily this was against an opponent that was much weaker than the Grizzlies so his poor performance ultimately didn’t matter. But this team strives on Bane and will need him to continue playing at the level he has been this season to remain as successful as they have been.

Foul trouble

It may not seem like it from the final score but the Memphis Grizzlies got themselves in quite a bit of foul trouble. As a team, they racked up 21 fouls and sent the Magic to the free-throw line 29 times.

Memphis is usually a sound team on defense but there were some plays defensively where they bailed out Orlando giving them easy opportunities to put points on the board. Luckily, the Magic only went 20-29 from the foul line and didn’t hurt the Grizzlies too much.
