Memphis Grizzlies could look to move reserve guard Jarrett Culver

Reserve guard Jarrett Culver, a former No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, is still just 22 years old.

The problem is, the Grizzlies are enjoying such great success, there is not a viable way to develop him further without sacrificing the team’s ability to win games.

Culver would be better served competing for a team that’s in a rebuild where he can develop and mature along side other players that can be afforded room to make in-game mistakes.

The Texas Tech product has shown us flashes this season, particularly when he was counted on to contribute in Ja Morant’s absence while he was recovering from injury.

Culver has shown he can score the ball when needed if he has some talent around him to take the pressure off. He can play good defense in spurts and would be a solid contributor for a number of teams around the NBA.

Could a the Grizzlies dangle him for a three-point shooter or a back-up wing player?
