Brandon Clarke played like a 6MOTY candidate

Clarke, an undersized back-up forward, has had an absolutely spectacular season and should be mentioned in conversations for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year— he’s playing some of the best basketball of his career.

In the month of January, Clarke is averaging 13.6 ppg and 7.4 rpg. He’s been a very important piece for the team off the bench, providing a spark of energy that opposing team’s just can’t match.

The former Gonzaga product hass shot 50% or better from the field in nine out of the 10 past games for the Grizzlies.

Clarke finished the game with 18-points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals in 23 minutes of action against the Pelicans.

Grizzlies had no answer for newly-acquired CJ McCollum

In just his fourth game with New Orleans, the former Blazer acquired at the Trade Deadline has proven why he was highly coveted by the Pelicans.

CJ McCollum torched the Memphis Grizzlies for 30 points. He made no three-point shots and only scored six of his points from the free-throw line. The Grizzlies could not stop him from penetrating the paint or in the mid-range.

Once the Pelicans get healthy, they are going to have a really solid starting five of: Devonte Graham, CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson and Jonas Valanciunas.
