Standout guard Desmond Bane will represent the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA Rising Stars competition set for the first night of All-Star Weekend Feb. 18.

The sharpshooting guard, in his second season out of TCU, has taken a massive leap forward in his sophomore campaign, averaging 17.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 2.5 apg while shooting 41.3% from beyond the arc as a starter for the third-best team in the NBA.

This is a huge improvement from his rookie season in which he averaged 9.2 ppg, 3.1 rpg and 1.7 apg in a bench role.

Bane joins a slew of rookie and second-year NBA players, (plus four G-League Ignite players) to showcase the young talent proliferating the game today.
