The Memphis Grizzlies, owners of the third best record in the NBA at 41-19, return from the All-Star Break to face one of the most intriguing teams in the Western Conference in the Minnesota Timberwolves (31-28) Feb. 24 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Memphis controls the season series 2-1, having won the first and third meetings earlier this season by seven points and eight points, respectively. The Wolves blew out the Grizz by 43 in the second meeting this season.
This is the first game either team has played since Feb. 16 before the All-Star Break. Let’s take a look at what to expect in tonight’s match-up.

Grizzlies starting line-up vs Timberwolves

Memphis Grizzlies vs Minnesota Timberwolves Feb. 23 prediction
The Grizzlies and the Timberwolves are two teams that have exceeded expectations this season, both powered by young All-Stars and exciting young talent.
For Memphis, it’s All-Star Ja Morant, Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. For Minnesota, it’s All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell.
Memphis will have to find a way to slow down the 2022 NBA 3-Point Contest Champion in Towns. Even if they are successful in doing that, they are going to have Edwards right there to pick up the slack and/or Russell.
Make no mistake, the Wolves are a very skilled offensive team. They’re the fifth-leading scoring team in the NBA so far this season and make an average of 14.4 three pointers per game— the second most in the NBA.
If the Grizzlies can successfully defend the three-point line and find a way to slow down one of their big three, they can escape Minnesota with a tough road win.
Prediction: Grizzlies 120, T’Wolves 116
