The Memphis Grizzlies (45-22) host the New York Knicks (28-38) March 11 inside the FedEx Forum for a Friday night delight on NBA TV.

These two teams are meeting for the first time since Feb. 2 when the Grizzlies dispatched the Knicks in Madison Square Garden 120-108. Jaren Jackson Jr. was the Grizzlies leading scorer with 26 points.

Memphis, the owners of the second-best record in the NBA, are fine tuning their play before they embark in the final stretch of games prior to the NBA Playoffs.

The Knicks are trying to claw their way into the Play-In Tournament. They are currently No. 12 in the Eastern Conference. They need to finish no worse than No. 10 in their conference to compete in the mini tournament.

Let’s take a look at what to expect in the final meeting of the 2021-22 season between these two teams.

For New York, they have a lengthy injury report.

  • Obi Toppin – Questionable (hamstring)
  • Cam Reddish – Out (shoulder)

Grizzlies starting line-up vs Knicks

Expect a starting five of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Ziaire Williams, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Steven Adams for the Grizzlies. If Dillon Brooks is available, there is a slight chance he could start in place of Williams, but will likely begin his return by coming off the bench.

Memphis Grizzlies vs New York Knicks March 11 prediction

The Grizzlies, fresh off a big blowout over New Orleans and two full days of rest should be able to easily dispatch the injury-heavy Knicks at home.

But, they will be competing in their sixth consecutive road game. They have not played a home game at MSG since Feb. 27.

The Grizzlies will still have to account for star players Julius Randle, RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley in this game.

Randle and Quickley are coming off a game in which they scored a season-high in points Monday at Sacramento. Randle dropped 46 points and Quickley recorded 27.

In the seven games since the All-Star break Barrett is averaging 27.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 4.9 apg during that span.

If the Grizzlies execute their game plan and find a way to slow down one of their big three, they’ll have a good chance to win this game with their home crowd behind them.

Prediction: Memphis 125, New York 107
