Studs from Grizzlies 122-98 win over Rockets

Here were the best performers from the Grizzlies-Rockets March 20 matchup.

Desmond Bane, Memphis Grizzlies

Second year stud Desmond Bane lead all players in scoring in today’s game, logging 24 points. He was incredibly efficient, going 8 of 13 from the field and 3 of 6 from beyond the arc.

In addition to his 24 points, he also logged 7 assist, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. He finished with a staggering +/- of +24.

Bane also logged a game-high 32 minutes of play.

Tyus Jones, Memphis Grizzlies

Filling in for the injured Ja Morant was Tyus Jones, who continues to look every bit like the best back-up point guard in the entire league.

The league leader in assist-to-turnover ration had 7 assists and zero turnover today. He also chipped in 13 points and 3 rebounds for the Grizzlies.

Jones continues to make the case that he should be one of the team’s top priorities once the offseason arrives and he becomes a free agent.

The bench of the Houston Rockets

The Rockets bench played really well today and is the primary group that gave the Grizzlies any sort of resistance.

Three of the team’s four leading scorers came off the bench in this game: Alperen Sengun, Dennish Schroder and Kenyon Martin Jr.

Sengun finished with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Martin Jr. added 15 points and 4 rebounds. Schroder was really effective with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
