Memphis Grizzlies: Ja Morant trolls KAT after 26-point comeback win in Game 3

The Memphis Grizzlies completed an epic, 26-point come-from-behind win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 21 to give the bad boys from Beale Street a 2-1 series advantage in the first round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs.

The Grizzlies lost Game 1 of this series in disappointing fashion, but bounced back nicely in Game 2, creating a series split at 1-1.

Games 3 and 4 take place in Minnesota and Timberwolves All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns was hyped about it, evident by his comments made while mic’d up on TNT during Game 3.

In the clip, Towns can be seen chatting with teammate Greg Monroe on the sidelines during a break in the first half while his team was up nearly 20 points over the Grizzlies.

“Yeah, we in Minnesota now,” Towns says, voice nearly cracking. “Like I said out to the media, alright. You gotta come back to our house now!”

“I only seen them at their house,” Towns says cheerfully. KAT was clearly on a high while his team had the Grizzlies under their thumb for most of the game.

Morant saw the clip in his Twitter feed not long after his team went on an epic 42-12 run in the final 13 minutes of Game 3.

He retweeted the video clip with the caption, “We in Minnesota now,” complete with a smiling emoji.

Morant let his game do the talking, too. Despite a poor shooting night, the superstar guard finished the game with a triple-double: 16 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds.

He nearly had a triple-double in Game 2, coming one rebound shy of the feat.

Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies enjoy a 2-1 series lead with Game 4 set to take place in Minneapolis April 23 at 9 PM CT on ESPN.

If the Grizzlies are successful in Game 4, they will head back to Memphis up 3-1 and a chance to advance to the second round of the playoffs.
