Should the Memphis Grizzlies start Brandon Clarke in Game 4?

Taylor Jenkins didn’t start Xavier Tillman in Game 3, despite an excellent showing in Game 2— he went with veteran Kyle Anderson instead. I think it would have put too much pressure on Tillman to deliver.

If he got out there and struggled in the opening few minutes, his confidence may have floundered and the Grizzlies would be down to Anderson and Clarke.

Fortunately, things worked out really well for the Grizzlies in the end of Game 3. Clarke has been by-and-large the best forward for Memphis in this entire series.

Should Jenkins jump-start the game with the best player or keep him in his role off the bench— a role he has flourished in all season long.

Anderson got the starting nod in Game 3, but Jenkins could shake things up and go with Clarke to start Game 4.

Clarke has played extremely well in his role and is a big reason why the Grizzlies have been able to win two of three in the first round. He’s even out-played Jaren Jackson Jr. in many ways.

This will likely come down to Jenkins’ gut and taking a gamble on Clarke as a starter or play in more conservatively and have him come out with the second unit.
