5 things we learned during the Memphis Grizzlies rookie introductory press conference

After an exciting 2022 NBA Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies invited all four new draft picks to the FedEx Forum for a formal introductory press conference.

At that press conference, Head Coach Taylor Jenkins and General Manager Zach Kleiman were joined by the team’s newest additions to answer questions from local media.

Jake LaRavia (editor’s note: pronounced luh-RAY-vee-uh), the No. 19 overall pick, comes to the Grizzlies as a junior out of Wake Forest. David Roddy, the No. 23 overall pick, is headed to Memphis by way of a three-year career with Colorado State.

Memphis native and 2022 SEC Tournament MVP Kennedy Chandler will compete for the Memphis Grizzlies after an electric freshman season at Tennessee.

And finally, Vince Williams, a senior out of VCU, lands in Grind City after the team took him with the No. 47 overall pick.

Here are five things we learned from Jenkins, Kleiman, and the rookies during the 2022 introductory press conference.
