Will Tyus Jones leave the Memphis Grizzlies to join the San Antonio Spurs?

An intriguing option for Jones this offseason could be the San Antonio Spurs, a team in which his little brother Tre currently calls home.

An opportunity to play for legendary coach Gregg Poppovich, be with his brother, and have an All-Star guard on the roster may be enough to entice Jones to leave Memphis.

The Spurs, however, are rumored to be in trade talks to send All-Star guard Dejounte Murray to Atlanta in exchange for John Collins.

If that deal goes through, it seems like that would make the move to San Antonio that much more enviable for Jones, who could be the primary ballhandler and initiation of the Spurs’ offense with Murray gone.

Will the Pistons price the Memphis Grizzlies out of re-signing Tyus Jones?

The Pistons have a ton of cap space to play with this offseason. Most experts and insiders have pegged them to go big game hunting in the form of Deandre Ayton and/or Miles Bridges once free agency begins.

However, with the team acquiring rookie Jalen Duren, it may create some redundancies at the position if they were to try and lure Ayton to the team.

If they’re able to sign Bridges and pair him with Duren and last year’s No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham, that’s a really attractive big three in Mo-Town.

The Pistons have been rumored to be in the market for another ballhandler to take some of the pressure off Cunningham.

The Pistons can throw a ton of cash at Jones if they determine he’s the guy that want to help guide the Pistons back into playoff contention.
