Jaren Jackson Jr.: Depending on how 2k adjusts Jaren Jackson Jr. due to his injury, his rating could be high or low. He got into a lot of foul trouble during the playoffs, but he led the league in blocks+steals this season. His defensive rating should be sky-high for sure. If it isn’t, we should riot upon 2k. Jaren (arguably) was the best defensive player this past season. Even though Rudy Gobert almost won defensive player of the year, Jaren was right there with him. Rudy Gobert is currently rated at a whopping 88 in 2k22. Jaren also improved on his 3-point percentage from the year prior (from 28% in 20-21 to 32% in 21-22). This is not an astounding number but it should be enough to raise his 74 overall 3pt ratings. As a fan, it also feels like JJJ is 100% from 3 after a big block.
Virtually all of his stats improved this year. His 2k rating should reflect that, too.

Ja Morant: The 2021-22 NBA Most Improved Player Ja Morant has become everything we have hoped he would become. A Memphis player is getting attention in the MVP race, which still amazes me. He is a human highlight real and is only getting better. Currently, Ja’s biggest flaw is his 3-point shooting. However, Ja improved his 3-point shot percentage from 30% to 34% (while also increasing his FG % from 45% to 49%). Ja came in 7th in MVP voting just above Finals MVP Stephen Curry. In pure marketability, Ja was also an All-Star starter, a second-round pick by Kevin Durant. His place picked will not raise his rating, but his All-Star status will.
A fake “Bleacher Report” supposedly “leaked” ratings for 3 players. However, this tweet came from a satire account. This tweet drew a ton of attention from NBA fans (thinking it was legit). Until it was proven untrue by the Digital Marketing Director at 2k, “Ronnie2k”.
I do not think Ja Morant is going to get a 98+ overall. I do think he will be one of the highest-rated players in the game, though. This could be another MVP-type season for Ja Morant, which matters in his 2k rating.
