Are the Memphis Grizzlies the villain, the hero or the underdog in the NBA?

Are the Memphis Grizzlies the league villains? The NBA is no stranger to storylines within games, seasons, or even generations. Many of which pin two forces against each other. From legendary rivalries such as Bird v.s. Magic (the 1980s) to more recent ones such as the Golden State Warriors vs the Cleveland Cavaliers (2015-2018). Recently though, NBA fans and Media have taken to Twitter and various sports news networks to talk about a new storyline: The Memphis Grizzlies.

Memphis is finally getting some spotlight within the media and is gaining fans from around the world. Ja Morant plays the most prominent part in all of it.

But is all attention, good attention? Some fans love the Grizzlies’ rise to stardom, others, however, hate it and see Memphis as the villains of this narrative.
