With the 2022 NFL season officially underway, the Memphis Grizzlies social media team asked each player on the roster who their favorite NFL player is or who their favorite NFL team is at the moment.

The results were entertaining, to say the least, especially the response  Killian Tillie gave to team officials.

All of the original responses from the players can be seen on Instagram, here.

Who does Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant cheer for in the NFL?

When he’s not busy working on his newly purchased home, Morant is probably taking in the occasional NFL game during the offseason.

Ja Morant loves Deandre Hopkins, the star wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals. It’s not surprising— Hopkins is one of the most gifted and athletic receivers in the NFL.

Let’s take a look at the rest of the team and who they’re rooting for this year.

Desmond Bane

Response: Tennessee Titans

Bane told the Grizzlies, “I’m at that Titans game this weekend” in his response. Maybe Bane and star running back Derrick Henry can link up after the game. Who do you think has the bigger biceps?

Steven Adams

Response: Marshawn Lynch

The Grizzlies’ starting big man picked one of the most mysterious and electrifying NFL players as someone he admires. Adams may want to catch a few NFL games this season and find a new favorite player as Lynch has played football since 2019.

Killian Tillie

Response: N/A

Killian Tillie, a French native with a family background in volleyball, has no interest in the NFL.  “I don’t watch NFL lol only Real football which is soccer,” the reserve forward said in his response to team officials.

Brandon Clarke

Response: Deandre Hopkins

Brandon Clarke, who went to high school in Phoenix, claims one of the best players on the Arizona Cardinals as his favorite NFL player, WR Deandre Hopkins (the same as Ja Morant).

John Konchar

Response: Chicago Bears

The Chicago-area native, to the surprise of no one, claims “Da Bears” as his favorite NFL team.

Tyus Jones

Response: Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota native Tyus Jones loves his hometown team, the Vikings— Skol!

David Roddy

Response: Minnesota Vikings / Cam Newton

Grizzlies rookie David Roddy, also a Minnesota native, cheers for the Vikings. But, his favorite player has never played for the Vikes— Cam Newton. The QB, currently a free agent in the NFL, has most notably played for the Carolina Panthers.

Kennedy Chandler

Response: Chris Harris Jr of the Broncos, LA Chargers

Since there is no NFL team in Memphis, Grizzlies rookie and Memphis native Kennedy Chandler cheers for his cousin, Chris Harris Jr. of the Denver Broncos. As for his favorite team, he said he really likes watching the LA Chargers.

Jaren Jackson Jr.

Response: Odell Beckham Jr.

Trip is a big fan of wide receiver OBJ, currently a free agent. The NFL superstar is working his way back from injuries sustained during last February’s Super Bowl when he was competing for the LA Rams.

Ziaire Williams

Response: Keenan Allen and Drake London

Z-Will says he’s a fan of Chargers wideout Keenan Allen and Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London.

Dillon Brooks

Response: Las Vegas Raiders

Dillon Brooks, native of Canada, says he follows the Las Vegas Raiders.

Jake LaRavia

Response: Aaron Rodgers

Jake LaRavia said he’s a big fan of Green Bay Packers starting QB Aaron Rodgers, winner of the 2021 and 2022 NFL MVP.

Santi Aldama

Response: Green Bay Packers, Tom Brady

Santi Aldama, a native of Spain, appears to have taken a liking to the Green Bay Packers, but calls Tom Brady his favorite player. Not a bad combo there— Aldama likes winners.

Kenneth Lofton Jr.

Response: Kansas City Chiefs and Elandon Roberts

Undrafted free agent Kenneth Lofton Jr. says he’s a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and has a special spot in his heart for pro athletes from his hometown of Port Arthur, Texas. KLJ calls Miami Dolphins linebacker Elandon Roberts his favorite player in the NFL right now.
