Memphis Grizzlies Media Day has come and gone, with lots of interesting nuggets and tidbits being revealed by newcomers and veterans alike.

We heard from everyone from Ja Morant to Kenneth Lofton Jr., all of them giving interesting insight as to where their minds are at heading into the 2022-23 NBA season. We also got some of our biggest questions answered, but new ones were posited, too.

Let’s check out some of the biggest revelations we learned from the day-long Memphis Grizzlies Media Day.

Memphis Grizzlies GM Zach Kleiman says Danny Green is here to stay

Right off the bat, Grizzlies GM Zach Kleiman put to rest any notion that Danny Green might be traded or cut before the start of the season since he’s injured and the roster is over-stuffed with players.

“Danny Green is a part of this group,” Kleiman declared before the media scrum. Green, during his availability, reciprocated that sentiment and said he’s ready to get to work and help this team mature and learn how to have a winning mentality.

Kleiman also called Brandon Clarke, Dillon Brooks, and Steven Adams “long-term pieces of the group,” when asked about how they fit into the future of the Grizzlies.

Mum was the word, however, from the players who are eligible to sign contract extensions.
