4. Will Dillon Brooks be more selective with his shooting?

Something that was a focal point of Media Day was Dillon Brooks and his desire to be more efficient shooting the ball. It was painful to watch the young veteran shoot such a high volume of shots so poorly throughout the regular season and playoffs, especially when the Grizzlies have one of the best shooters in the NBA on their team in Desmond Bane.

Will Brooks put his money where his mouth is? It might be tough since he’s entering a contract year and needs to showcase his very best to get maximum investment from this team or another team if/when he hits the open market next summer.

Everyone is expecting a big bounce back from Brooks— can he deliver?

5. Will the Memphis Grizzlies make any trades to trim down bloated roster?

The team has been mentioned by various media outlets as potential suitors for disgruntled Phoenix Suns veteran Jae Crowder. The one-time Grizzlies player would seem like a good pickup for the team, having been to mulitple NBA Finals series, can play great defense, and hit the occasional three-point shot.

Memphis has also been linked by some as an ideal candidate to trade for Jordan Clarkson from the Utah Jazz as they near the end of their fire sale and the beginning of their rebuild.

The Grizzlies have 16 players with full or partially guaranteed contracts on the books entering the regular season. With 15 being the limit, someone is going to have to go. A trade would help alleviate that extra player and potentially add someone who can help a very young and inexperienced bench throughout the 2022-23 season.
