Memphis Grizzlies Fantasy Basketball is here!

As the Memphis Grizzlies season approaches, so too does fantasy basketball. With expectations from fans, the team, and the media, there is one more important set of expectations: fantasy team managers.

Memphis is one of the deepest teams in the league and because of that many of those players are getting drafted into fantasy teams. I am going to grade each Average Draft Position (ADP) for each player and say whether each player is overvalued, undervalued, or in a good position based on how they will function within the team to do the one thing that is essential for fantasy teams: put up numbers.

Let’s take a look.

Memphis Grizzlies players who aren’t getting drafted (No ADP available)

Kennedy Chandler: N/A, >0.1% Rostered – Perfectly Valued
Jake LaRavia: N/A, >0.1% Rostered – Perfectly Valued
David Roddy: N/A, >0.1% Rostered – Perfectly Valued
Santi Aldama: N/A, 0.8% Rostered – Undervalued

All of these guys are properly valued, except Santi Aldama. I am surprised to see Santi’s percent rostered has not gone up here in recent weeks as he has become the front-runner to take the starting spot and for good reason. Santi has proved when he gets the minutes his production is good. He has the ability to score and should see a lot of Jaren Jackson Jr’s usage in his production. Naturally, the name does play a big role in fantasy. Right now, Santi does not have the kind of name to get proper recognition, as he would among Memphis fans. If you are in a deep league and are looking to take a chance on some guys that are considered “sleepers” this is one of them. Santi is going to have production as a starter, so until JJJ gets back or he gets taken out of the starting line-up, drafting him late would not be a bad Idea.
